Brad Kay COUNSEL

Brad Kay is a tax lawyer that primarily focuses on mergers & acquisitions and business tax planning. During his career, he has advised on transactions across the U.S. and internationally, spanning sectors such as industrials, healthcare, technology, financial services, and retail.

Brad works with domestic and multinational corporations and partnerships, as well as private equity funds, on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. His expertise includes tax due diligence, transaction structuring, internal restructuring, and navigating complex issues such as debt refinancing, bankruptcy, and attribute limitations.

Additionally, Brad serves as an adjunct professor of Corporate Taxation and Tax Policy. Prior to joining the firm, Brad has been in senior leadership positions in M&A tax groups for Big 4 accounting firms and an investment bank. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a J.D. from the University of Georgia, as well as an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. Brad is admitted to practice law in Georgia and the District of Columbia.
